Hello and welcome to my patient information suite. I am Samantha Tross - a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in hip and knee conditions, robotic surgery and minimally invasive surgery. I've created this resource to support you through every stage of your orthopaedic journey. For this video suite - you'll see I am using digital twin technology to keep this content current and accessible. My digital avatar delivers information in multiple languages, ensuring you can access accurate, up-to-date guidance about your treatment in your preferred language. There are some limitations though, for example, at times the tone and body movement might not be 100% natural. If you are experiencing pain, instability, or restricted movement in your hip or knee - and this is affecting your lifestyle, requiring painkillers, or disturbing your sleep - you are not alone. Advice is available for both surgical and non-surgical management. Many patients worry about not returning to their previous quality of life when contemplating surgery - and I understand these concerns. My approach is built on individualized, evidence-based, holistic care. I take time to listen to your complaints, carefully examine you, request relevant investigations, and explore all treatment options before considering surgical intervention. I work across Cromwell Hospital; Clementine Churchill Hospital; Chiswick Medical Centre; Fortius clinic; and Lycahealth Canary Wharf. I work as part of a multidisciplinary team including: physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and specialist nurses, your care is coordinated and personalised at every stage. Virtual, telephone, or face-to-face sessions are offered across my various clinics - covering morning, afternoon, and evening appointments to meet most requirements.
